Known as Henri in Paris. He was born in Nikolayev in 1905. Attended the Ecole Israelite and was part of the choir of the Synagogue de la Victoire (the Rothschild Synagogue) in Paris. Enjoyed bicycle races in Paris, also loved to dance and sing. Came to the U.S.A. in 1923 and married Claire Goldberg. Lila, Edith and Evelyn were their offspring. |
