Born in Nikolayev September 1907. She attended the Ecole Israelite in Paris and was part of the choir of the Synagogue de la Victoire. |
Estelle was Bat Mitzvah at the Synagogue de Nazareth in Paris at the age of 12. During the World War I she was taken into a Catholic Convent in the suburbs of Paris. Protected by the sisters (nuns). She participated in all activities except the Catholic masses which she sat through as an observer. At the age of 14, she was private secretary to a movie producer in Paris. Came to the U.S.A. in 1923 and married Maurice Spaiser. Annette and Leslie were their offspring.
Maurice died in April 1980 from pancreatic cancer. Estelle died on December 13, 1990 of complications associated with liver failure.
